Did I Say Hold the Bacon? Subway Bans Pork from Nearly 200 Stores in the U.K. Due to Muslim Outcry

Subway is a business doing what businesses do: looking out for its customers’ interests in neighborhoods around England.

But it’s how Subway is doing it that’s more than a bit ironic, given how tolerance is supposed to be a two-way street.

The Daily Mail reports that Subway is holding the pork for customers in 185 shops around England, due to Muslims’ complaints about non-halal menus:

The sandwich chain said ‘following a strong demand from our Muslim customers’, 185 outlets in the UK and Ireland have introduced the meat, which is prepared under strict Islamic rules.

In Arabic the word halal means ‘permitted’ or ‘lawful’ and defines anything that is allowed or lawful according to the Qur’an.

It is often used to indicate food – particularly meat – has been prepared in accordance with Muslim principles and techniques.

That gives a whole new meaning to customer demand. So where’s the beef?

There’s this principle of choice and tolerance for other cultures that gets in the way. Jewish people don’t eat pork and you don’t see them going all Kosher on Subway shops around the U.S..

Traditionally, in halal abattoirs the throats of the animals are cut while they are fully conscious – an act many campaigners say is inhumane and needlessly cruel.

NEVADA GOP DROPS MARRIAGE AND PRO-LIFE PLATFORM

The Nevada Republican Party had a convention last week to approve their party platform and endorse a candidate for governor. After much debate, the party conventioneers decided to strip opposition to gay marriage and abortion from the party platform, while they also endorsed Gov. Brian Sandoval for re-election. Sue Lowden was also backed for the seat of lieutenant governor over Mark Hutchison, who was endorsed by Sandoval.

The new party platform was proposed by a separate committee and was then approved by a show of hands by convention-goers. There were 520 delegates in attendance, but less than half of them were present at the time of the vote on the platform.

The party chairman stated it was a successful convention. He said, “I think it was about inclusion, not exclusion…This is where the party is going.” Those members of the committee who proposed this new platform said they decided not to deal with social issues this year because the U.S. Supreme Court and lower courts had already weighed in and it didn’t make sense to have the party of “personal freedom” to have the government get involved in peoples’ personal lives.

The state party platform had previously defined marriage as “between a man and a woman” and described the party as “pro-life,” but that’s no longer in there.

April 22 is the very Big Day for communists, socialists around the World. Every one of them knows this day as a Birthday of Lenin, their icon, their symbol of a new economic and moral society where everyone works for a “common good”.

When American students at school and colleges celebrate Earth Day they unknowingly but indeed celebrate Lenin’s birthday.

Lenin was born April 22, 1870.

In all socialist countries, USSR, East Germany etc., the ideological war against individual property and property owners was symbolized by “the ground is being cleared for the actual building of socialism, for the development of new social links, a new discipline of work in common and a new national (and later an international) system of economy of world-historic importance.(V.I.Lenin)”

With that symbol people were forced to work for free to clean streets, plant the trees etc. Again, for a common good, to prove that the “common property” is more important and essential then individual property.

Our youth are being indoctrinated to accept socialism and reject freedom from every direction. We must take a stand and reject this indoctrination. In 2009, in the earliest weeks of President Barack Obama‘s administration, the White House made the controversial decision to take the unprecedented step of moving the Census Bureau from control of the commerce secretary over to the White House ahead of the decennial 2010 census.

Conservatives sounded alarm bells. “It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political,” said Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) of then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

“Requiring the Census director to report directly to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a shamefully transparent attempt by your administration to politicize the Census Bureau and manipulate the 2010 Census,” read a letter addressed to Obama authored by Reps. Darrell Issa (R-CA) andPatrick McHenry (R-NC).

While Republican officeholders were the primary sources of statements expressing concern over the move, some non-partisan analysts were also unnerved by the move. “The last thing the census needs is for any hard-bitten partisan (either a Karl Rove or a Rahm Emanuel) to manipulate these critical numbers,” wrote University of Virginia professor Larry Sabato in an email to Fox News at the time. “Partisans have a natural impulse to tilt the playing field in their favor, and this has to be resisted.”

The White House dismissed the concerns of conservatives which were, indeed, unfounded insofar as they related to the 2010 census. But the fears of some that the Census Bureau could be corrupted by the imperatives of the political operatives in the White House was today proven accurate.

According to a report in The New York Times, the Census Bureau has been directed to change the wording of its questions relating to health care coverage so that they can no longer be checked against the past three decades of data. According to the nonpartisan analysts and census officials The Timesspoke with, this change will make it nearly impossible to accurately assess the effects of the Affordable Care Act has had on the number of Americans who have health insurance.

The changes will, however, likely have the effect of showing a reduction in the number of uninsured. This will not be the result of the effects of the law. Rather, according to the Census Bureau’s chief of the health statistics branch, the drop in uninsured is only going to be due to “the questions and how they are asked.”

Policy analysts and columnists, who are not reflexively friendly to conservative causes, called the debasement of a formerly neutral agency to achieve a political end “insane” and “inexcusable.”

And, thus, another crazy conservative conspiracy theory is proven to not be so crazy after all.

IRS Not Done Targeting Conservative Groups - New Target: Campaign For Liberty

A year after Lois Lerner admitted that the IRS was inappropriately going after conservative groups, the IRS is continuing this practice!

Under 501(c)(4) IRS Code all organizations filed under this code shall have their donor information remain private.  

The IRS granted Campaign For Liberty this designation. 

Many other political organizations on that preach liberal, social and communist ideologies also have filed under this designation, yet are not under the same scrutiny as Campaign for Liberty.  

Yesterday Ron Paul, founder of Campaign for Liberty sent out the following e-mail to conservatives

 This is one of the toughest letters I’ve ever had to send. 

For years, people have joked that the three most feared letters in the English language may well be these . . .

I – R – S.

But today, I’m not laughing.

Just days ago, the IRS handed Campaign for Liberty a hefty fine and DEMANDED we turn over sensitive contributor information.

If we don’t comply with the IRS’ outrageous demand for sensitive donor information, I’m afraid we’ll face additional fines that could cripple Campaign for Liberty and perhaps even force us to shut our doors.

But, I’m not naive. I know where this is headed.

The statists at the IRS know I’ll NEVER EVER turn over confidential information about Campaign for Liberty’s donors without a fight.

And after the Obama IRS was caught red-handed targeting pro-limited government groups for harassment and intimidation, these fears could not be more well-founded.

So there’s no way I would ever just hand this kind of information over to these government bureaucrats. That’s not an option.

So when we filed annual reports with the IRS as required by law, we left this information off.
The IRS now claims that’s the reason we’re being fined!

But the truth is, years ago, after the NAACP complied with IRS demands and promptly saw their donor information publicized, the IRS has only occasionally sought to “enforce” their ridiculous rule.

 The real reason they’re coming after Campaign for Liberty I’m afraid is something far more sinister.

After all, there’s no denying our Liberty Movement is growing.

Only a few years ago, you and I were barely a “blip” on the political screen.

But there’s no denying things have changed, when you consider:

*** Today, we see a growing crop of new Liberty Movement supporters like Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) in the U.S. Senate;

*** In the U.S. House, there’s Congressmen Justin Amash (R-MI) and Thomas Massie (R-KY).

*** My son, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), is now considered a front runner for President in 2016!

*** Audit the Fed is now a top issue in American politics;

*** The bipartisan National Internet Tax Mandate and the National ID database scheme were supposed to sail through Congress, but you and I have so far held them both off;

*** More and more Americans now oppose radical federal government spying programs and - as we saw with Syria - are more skeptical than ever of foreign military adventurism.

That concern is valid. Corporate donors to the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a conservative think tank, were pressured by leftist activists to cease their giving. The Obama campaign used FEC disclosures to intimidate Romney donors.

And more recently, Brendan Eich was pressured to resign his post as Mozilla’s CEO because he gave to the organizers of Proposition 8, California’s 2008 anti-gay marriage campaign.

BOMBSHELL ON BUNDY RANCH: NEVADA SENATOR HARRY REID'S SON INVOLED GOVERNMENT TO SELL LAND TO CHINA

The Nevada rancher who forced the federal Bureau of Land Management to back down last week may have been targeted because a Chinese solar company with ties to Sen. Harry Reid's son wants the land for an energy plant, several websites report.

A report on Godfatherpolitics.com,  says Chinese energy giant ENN Energy Group wants to use federal land as part of its effort to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel-building plant in the southern Nevada desert. Rory Reid, the son of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, is representing ENN in their efforts to locate in Nevada.

Part of the land ENN wants to use was purchased from Clark County at well below appraised value. Rory Reid is the former Clark County Commission chairman, and he persuaded the commission to sell 9,000 acres of county land to ENN on the promise it would provide jobs for the area, Reutersreported in 2012. 


In addition to the county acreage, the federal Bureau of Land Management at one time was looking at BLM property under dispute with cattle rancher Cliven Bundy. The BLM is headed by former Harry Reid senior policy adviser Neil Kornz.

According to BizPac Review, BLMdocuments indicate that the federal property for which Bundy claims grazing rights were under consideration by a solar energy company. Those documents have since been removed from BLM's website, but BizPac quotes from one of them:

"Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle."

"Trespass cattle" is a reference to Bundy's herd. Bundy's family has grazed cattle on the land since the 1870s, and Bundy maintains he has grazing rights to the federal land. But he hasn't paid his federal grazing fees in 20 years in a dispute with the BLM.

 By SHIREE BUNDY COX: I have had people ask me to explain my dad's stance on this BLM fight. Here it is in as simple of terms as I can explain it. There is so much to it, but here it s in a nut shell. My great grandpa bought the rights to the Bunkerville allotment back in 1887 around there. 

Then he sold them to my grandpa who then turned them over to my dad in 1972. These men bought and paid for their rights to the range and also built waters, fences and roads to assure the servival of their cattle, all with their own money, not with tax dollars. These rights to the land use is called preemptive rights. Some where down the line, to keep the cows from over grazing, came the bureau of land management. They were supposed to assist the ranchers in the management of their ranges while the ranchers paid a yearly allotment which was to be use to pay the BLM wages and to help with repairs and improvements of the ranches. My dad did pay his grazing fees for years to the BLM until they were no longer using his fees to help him and to improve. Instead they began using these money's against the ranchers. They bought all the rest of the ranchers in the area out with they're own grazing fees.

 When they offered to buy my dad out for a pentence he said no thanks and then fired them because they weren't doing their job. He quit paying the BLM but, tried giving his grazing fees to the county, which they turned down. So my dad just went on running his ranch and making his own improvements with his own equipment and his own money, not taxes. In essence the BLM was managing my dad out of business. Well when buying him out didn't work, they used the indangered species card. You've already heard about the desert tortis. Well that didn't work either, so then began the threats and the court orders, which my dad has proven to be unlawful for all these years. Now their desperate. It's come down to buying the brand inspector off and threatening the County Sheriff. Everything their doing at this point is illegal and totally against the constitution of the United States of America. Now you may be saying," how sad, but what does this have to do with me?" Well, I'll tell you. They will get rid of Cliven Bundy, the last man standing on the Bunkerville allotment and then they will close all the roads so no one can ever go on it again. Next, it's Utah's turn. Mark my words, Utah is next.

Then there's the issue of the cattle that are at this moment being stolen. See even if dad hasn't paid them, those cattle do belong to him. Regardless where they are they are my fathers property. His herd has been part of that range for over a hundred years, long before the BLM even exsisted. Now the Feds think they can just come in and remove them and sell them without a legal brand inspection or without my dad's signature on it. They think they can take them over two boarders, which is illegal, ask any trucker. Then they plan to take them to the Richfield Auction and sell them. All with our tax money. They have paid off the contract cowboys and the auction owner as well as the Nevada brand inspector with our tax dollars. See how slick they are

Could The Stand Down Be A Ploy By The Feds At The Bundy Ranch?

The standoff at the Bundy Ranch may not actually be over.  Reports are coming out that the government stand down is just a ploy to remove patriots from the scene.   The Federal Aviation Administration has set a no-fly zone over the Bundy Ranch with a radius of 3 miles that is still effective for 1 months.  

Investigator Doug Hagmann, of The Hagmann and Hagmann Report, is also just as suspicious . He told radio natinal conservative radio broadcaster Steve Quayle on Saturday evening that he believes the people are being hoodwinked into believing that the situation is being resolved. It is not. It is a strategic de-escalation to fool the public.

An email from Hagmann to Quayle reads:

Date: Saturday, 12 April 2014Time: 1840 ETTo: Steve QuayleFrom Doug Hagmann At 1750 hours ET, I was contacted by my source within the Department of Homeland Security regarding the current situation at the Bundy Ranch. To put it bluntly, the people are being hoodwinked into believing that the situation is being resolved. It is not. It is a strategic de-escalation to fool the public. This source stated that the retreat of the BLM agents and the release of the cattle was actually crafted as a potential plan yesterday (Friday, 11 April 2014) based on the following: 1. A military assessment of satellite and drone surveillance imagery of the "patriot resistance. Drones under the control of the U.S. military were in use, taking real-time photographic images of not just the activity at the ranch, but "identifying the protesters, any arms and any supplies they might have or be carrying. Bundy Ranch Dispute: Republican Gov and Republican Senator Defend The Bundy Ranch

A Republican U.S. senator added his voice Wednesday to critics of a federal cattle roundup fought by a Nevada rancher who claims longstanding grazing rights on remote public rangeland about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas

Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada said he told new U.S. Bureau of Land Management chief Neil Kornze in Washington, D.C., that law-abiding Nevadans shouldn’t be penalized by an “overreaching” agency.

Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval pointed earlier to what he called “an atmosphere of intimidation,” resulting from the roundup and said he believed constitutional rights were being trampled.

Heller said he heard from local officials, residents and the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association and remained “extremely concerned about the size of this closure and disruptions with access to roads, water and electrical infrastructure.”

The federal government has shut down a scenic but windswept area about half the size of the state of Delaware to round up about 900 cattle it says are trespassing.

BLM and National Park Service officials didn’t immediately respond Wednesday to criticisms of the roundup that started Saturday and prompted the closure of the 1,200-square-mile area through May 12.

It’s seen by some as the latest battle over state and federal land rights in a state with deep roots in those disputes, including the Sagebrush Rebellion of the 1970s and ’80s. Nevada, where various federal agencies manage or control more than 80 percent of the land, is among several Western states where ranchers have challenged federal land ownership.

The current showdown pits rancher Cliven Bundy’s claims of ancestral rights to graze his cows on open range against federal claims that the cattle are trespassing on arid and fragile habitat of the endangered desert tortoise. Bundy has said he owns about 500 branded cattle on the range and claims the other 400 targeted for roundup are his, too.

BLM and Park Service officials see threats in Bundy’s promise to “do whatever it takes” to protect his property and in his characterization that the dispute constitutes a “range war.”

U.S. Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Las Vegas, noted that BLM officials were enforcing federal court orders that Bundy remove his animals. The legal battle has been waged for decades.

Those who say Bundy is a “deadbeat” are making inaccurate claims. Bundy has in fact paid fees to Clark County, Nevada in an arrangement pre-dating the BLM. The BLM arrived much later, changed the details of the setup without consulting with Bundy — or any other rancher — and then began systematically driving out cattle and ranchers. Bundy refused to pay BLM, especially after they demanded he reduce his heard’s head count down to a level that would not sustain his ranch. Bundy OWNS the water and forage rights to this land. He paid for these rights. He built fences, established water ways, and constructed roads with his own money, with the approval of Nevada and BLM. When BLM started using his fees to run him off the land and harassing him, he ceased paying. So should BLM reimburse him for managing the land and for the confiscation of his water and forage rights?

Bundy Ranch: Rancher Vs. The United States Government

An intense showdown in the state of Nevada between a family of ranchers and federal agents continues to escalate after a longstanding land dispute two decades in the making came to a head earlier this month.

Earlier this week, hundreds of armed agents with the United States Bureau of Land Management and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have descended on the Clark County, Nevada ranch of 67-year-old Cliven Bundy to execute the court-ordered confiscation of nearly 1,000 cattle, according to his family, which the US government says have trespassed on federal property.

The Washington Free Beacon newspaper reported on Monday this week that 234 of the 908 cattle had been wrangled up by government agents and their contractors, and news of the dispute has since further propelled the story into the national spotlight.

Now it’s been reported that local cowboys have retrieved some of the confiscated cattle, and supporters of the Bundy ranch from around the region have flocked to Nevada to stand by their side.

Since the Beacon first reported on the standoff earlier the week, tensions have only worsened in Clark County. Video emerged online on Wednesday of the rancher’s son, Ammon Bundy, bloodied after being shocked by an electric Taser used by authorities, and Desert News reported that, according to Cliven Bundy, his own sister was knocked to the ground by officials moments before cameras began to roll.

One witness, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, told reporters that “Serious bloodshed was narrowly avoided” as a pregnant woman was also roughed up during the ordeal.

"We never did have any hand-to-hand combat this morning or up to his time," Mr. Bundy told the newspaper on Thursday afternoon. "But there's like 200 armed military people on my ranch. That's pretty bad to have that much armed force against American people."

Obama Administration Fudged Numbers Not 7.1 million But Only 1 Million New Enrollees

By expert analysis  it appears that the Obamacare enrollment fell way short of the 7 million figure by 6 million.  

The seven million enrollment figure that the administration is bandying about is misleading. The actual number of uninsured covered by the marketplace will be much smaller. For starters, if the current trend continues, 20 percent of the seven million will drop out without paying. Out of the remaining 5.6 million, only about half were likely previously uninsured. Why? Because reliable early surveys found that a whopping 65 to 90 percent of those flocking to the exchange already had insurance. Even assuming that uninsured people were waiting until the end to sign up, it is hard to see how that figure would exceed 50 percent, given that six out of 10 uninsured people surveyed by the Kaiser Family Foundation recently didn’t know about the March 31 deadline and after being told about it, half of them still planned to remain uninsured

The administration claims that the ACA’s expansion of Medicaid has allowed four million to 4.5 million uninsured people to gain coverage. But a substantial portion of that stems from regular Medicaid growth (unrelated to Obamacare). In January, Real Clear Politics’ Sean Trende estimated the number to be closer to 400,000, although he expected things to improve as the sign-up deadline approached. And last month, Avalere, a health advisory company, put the new enrollees due to Obamacare at 2.4 million to 3.5 million. (Some states are reporting higher rates of uninsured Medicaid enrollment, but it is unclear how representative or reliable they are or how many of these uninsured might have been covered even under the old eligibility criteria.)

Also what is misleading in the numbers is the provision that allows 26-year-olds to stay on their parents’ plans. The administration claims that this provision has extended coverage to three million young people. But that’s a false assumption, given that at least some portion of them are college students with university coverage or self-employed with insurance from the individual market. Forbes’ Avik Roy estimates that the real figure is closer to 890,000, meaning that the administration’s figure represents an over 200 percent exaggeration.

All of this adds up to less than seven million uninsured being covered by Obamacare, which means that the program fell 46 percent short of CBO’s 13 million mark

Neil Cavuto of Fox News also reported the numbers to be way off.

And Thursday night on Fox Business we told you how much off.

Not a million fewer enrollees. A million net new, paying enrollees.

Yes, we crunched the data, separated out as best we could those who already had insurance, so weren't exactly "new" to getting insurance. Then, with the help of an expert, separated from the remaining group those actually paying for the coverage.

And lo and behold we arrived at that slightly more than 1 million paying ObamaCare customers.

Now, the White House fumed that we were leaving out the millions signing up for Medicaid and kids staying on their parents' policies longer, thanks to ObamaCare. Fair enough, we told them, which is also why we excluded the millions more Americans who lost their health care coverage altogether.

We agreed to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. But safe to say in the end, this drove a lot of FBN viewers watching all this bananas.

Teacher Chooses Facebook Friends Over Teaching Job

CHARLESTOWN, N.H. – A 79-year-old substitute teacher quit her job after school officials ordered her to delete thousands of students from her Facebook page and she refused.

The New Hampshire Union Leader reported that Charlestown resident Carol Thebarge has left Stevens High School.

Thebarge has been working as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher for the past 35 years, accepting assignments at 32 different schools.

“Today will be my last day at Stevens High,” Thebarge said, in a Facebook announcement. “I was given an ultimatum; to either delete every student from my Facebook page and do not post pictures of them, or be terminated.”

Thebarge said school officials gave her the ultimatum after a math teacher was recently charged with sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in his classroom.

She said she started deleting students, but stopped after about 50 when she had students start asking her what they did wrong.

Thebarge said some students have seen her Facebook page as a place where they can send private messages about being bullied or feeling depressed.

School Superintendent Middleton McGoodwin said that Claremont School Board policy bans teachers from being “friends” with students on social networking sites such as Facebook.

The superintendent said the principal asked Thebarge to delete students from her “friends” list, and she refused.

“In truth, being a caring, lovely woman doesn’t give you immunity to ignore a school board policy that’s designed to protect everyone,” he said.

Thebarge said she has had a wonderful career and did not want things to end this way.

Today will be my last day at Stevens High. 

I was given an ultimatum. 

To either delete every student from my facebook , and do not post pictures of them ( they always loved this ) or be terminated. 

Those of you who know me and my philosophy in life, that of marching to the beat of my own drummer would assume I would choose the latter of the two choices. 

And I did. 

The reason for this post, which I so sadly write tonight, is to avoid any rumors to the contrary and explain to the parents and students who are inboxing and calling my home tonight , why this is happening.. 

I have never, once, been deemed inappropriate on my site. 

It has served both the students and myself well. 

The students in the manner of many inboxes of varied requests.. for help from bullies, which I have seen through.. to mothers inboxing me to ask where they could get help for their children. 

This deletion process was requested of me 4 years ago , by the same administrator. At that time , I could not begin to fathom on where to begin. Now I have over 3000.. the parents that I had in kindergarten, to those I had in the sixth grade who are now grandparents. It was like picking a needle out of a haystack. And when I did delete at that time, I had students that were asking me "what did they do wrong that I would do this to them.. " And then I hid my list. 

And I realized that I , who always taught them to "live their truth" , was demonstrating deceit. So I unblocked it and she left me alone. Until Now. 

I have blocked many students due to inappropriate language or posters... derogatory remarks about one another, and they have asked for a second chance. And I do this and some immediately clean up their act. Those who do not? Blocked.

It has been a sad day for me. Not the way I planned to end a career of 35 years, 32 schools K-12 . The students have loved my site. I have loved to share pictures of the cats, my grandchildrens' achievements, and the wisdom I have gained throughout my journey. I have brought posters here that uplift ones Spirit, and always considered my site and messages those of Character Building. 

I have never once, written here, anything against a teacher, the administration, or a student. If this was so, by all means, I should not be allowed the privilege of having students on my site. 

I will continue to stay in touch with all of them here. No man or institution will dictate my relationships here, or otherwise that are within the range of my own consciousness. This is not rebellion. 

It is standing up for my beliefs... for silence and compliance is agreement.

~ An Open Letter to the Superintendent and Administration of Stevens High ~
 My first inclination here tonight, is to express my deep disappointment in all of you.
So before I go on to my second thought, which I imagine is from a Higher Source , for it will deal with compassion and prayer for you, I will express why I am experiencing this sense of sadness within myself...
 It has not been pleasant, seeing the headlines of the local and State papers carry my name and termination across the headlines of their publications.
It has not been easy to watch my picture and the stories on Channel 9, Fox News and Channel Five from Boston.
 I did not call them. Parents and students did.
 What bothered me the most, was reading , or watching comments from you , Middleton, that it had been requested of me to delete students and their pictures 2 years ago from my facebood account and the administrators not know this had not been attended to.
 After Frank called me into his office and said it was "Either compliance or termination " , I told him I wanted to see you.
 He mentioned that the policy was 4 years old, and perhaps could be modified.
 You sat in your office with me last Wednesday and were perplexed as to "why the deletion was requested of me." After all, you stated, "You are in the privacy of your own home, with your own computer.. I see nothing wrong with this."
 You said you would investigate it and get back to me.
 You never did.
 Instead, when exiting the building on Thursday, when asking Frank the "verdict" as I stood at the bottom of the staircase, he gave me one word. "Compliance". So I said , " I cannot do this." No offer to sit down, no invite to an office. That was it. And he walked away. I was so disappointed Frank, I thought we had more of a respect for one another than this.. and that moment crushed me.
 35 years of service in the area, 11 years at Stevens...and I was left with one word. "Compliance".
 I am not looking for gratitude, but in its absence? It is glaring.
 I feel you both were unprofessional in trying to resolve the issue.
 Above all, it has been devastating for me to have students saying good-bye to me, as though they would never see me again. And some will not. But I will be here for them. Look at the video below these posts. It says it all as to WHY I would not remove pictures or delete their names. It was a gift today, from a friend who sensed my pain
 . I , for the past ten years have also been their photographer at every graduation and prom. They loved their pictures brought here to share among themselves. You all knew this also.
 This announcement to the community and my refusal to comply which determined your decision to terminate my position, follows on the heels of the arrest of Chris Leblanc. And many feel they know the reason why.
 You felt the need, ( at my expense ) to communicate to the public, that you would "clean up" any further threats of non-safety to the student body.
Instead of doing this a week "before" the incidents, or waiting a decent interval, ( to tell only ME to delete students ) why did you choose this time, which placed myself under suspicion of wrong -doing .
 Also Middleton, you lumped my name on your TV interview with this criminal teacher, by saying, you are "looking out for the safety of the students."
I was sick over this.
 Rumors came to my attention here in private mail, and even to my home by the dad of a former student who was concerned about my well-being that the perception out there was that I "somehow" had knowledge of this perpetrators mind-set and did not report it. Have you any idea what this did to me? I, who have protected children, not only my own for 60 years from all harm, but the ones in my charge for the past 35 years.
 By hearing all of these perceptions,. it led me to write my initial letter here to explain WHY I had to leave.... which created the fire storm , that not only you are experiencing, but has affected my life with tremendous impact.
 You then state publicly that I did not comply two years ago.
I did. It was like looking for needles in a hay stack so I asked the students to aid me by deleting my name on their own accounts. After 50, I detected the hurt when they would ask me what they did "wrong" for they had difficulty accepting the letter of the law in place of the Spirit of Acceptance of who and what they are. So I stopped,. And you ALL knew it. And let me share the proof of my statement:
 The statement that you did NOT know, is a barefaced lie.
 Frank, you knew I was on facebook, months ago, when I helped you advertise your restaurant, "The Hitchin' Post" and told you it hit 124 shares. You allowed me to take your picture a month ago on the stairway with a student when you were dressed alike. I smiled, and said "Facebook" and walked away. You then call me in your office ten days later? And tell me I cannot take pictures of me with students??? I have your son on my guest list and different times asked him to show you certain portions of my postings. I also have students of those on the School Board. And they know it.
 Lets move on.
 Ms Ezen : You were the one two years ago that brought me in your office, sat me down and proceeded to show me "how" to delete the students. You knew I had not completed this request, but mercifully, left me alone. Two years later, just 7 weeks ago, you asked me into your office again, knowing I had a certain student that the school was concerned about. You asked me to sign INTO my facebook and bring him up. After your investigation, I returned to the classroom. You never uttered a WORD about having this or other students on my account. In other words, you used me. Correct me if I am wrong, and I will stand corrected, but I DO believe you are the one that ignited this storm, that "someone on the staff reporting MrsT".. for this is your Modus Operandi. You have two faces. One for your continual apologies after you decimate someone with your remarks about their inadequacies in their teaching strategies and the other bouncy smiley one as if everyone is happy with you. I have literally held one teacher that cried in my arms, saying she did not know if she could continue. An exceptional teacher that brings students to success , and parents request her. Shame on you. One after the other , fearful that you , in your classroom assessments could have them lose their homes at any moment, fearful to speak up!
 The day I approached you, my last day there, to ask you to discuss the issue with you, you told me "I do not want to talk to you." And then snarling at me, ( had not yet seen that face ) said loudly, "MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!" Well ! Arrogance, ego and nastiness all in one bundle does not make for a happy exit for one such as me.
Try to be a bit kinder in your drive by drop in critiques of those who ARE expert in their field, that you reduce to insecure beings. I questioned you once, on how you could justify all of these "recommendations for improvement" for these 30 year educators when you had never had experience in a classroom. I will not bring your answer here. I do not want you to look silly.
 Now for my prayer for you , Middleton.
You know how I liked you in the beginning of your move here.
I was so struck with your goals, your interest in the students.
I felt kindred with you many times.
When others trembled with fear , ("Perhaps I will be the next to go",) I took note of what I thought was paranoia spreading through the faculty.
 I even told you one day, that you were not "cutting positions; that it was wholesale massacre . I told you that I was writing a letter to the board about two beloved teachers , and we still held that respect for one another. Those two were later reinstated, but one had to wait a year without income. Shameful in view of the fact that her mother also served 45 years at CMS as a beloved educator.
 As time progressed, I found myself in an atmosphere of total fear... one cut after another... and now, this massive removal of four core teachers.
 Recently, Mrs Irish, the former school board member mentioned she would not vote for another budget. And her reason? "You asked us to find the best and the brightest. And we did. And now they are gone."
 She is not the only one that feels this Middleton. The parents do. The students are crushed. They are bewildered, confused and frightened. First the perpetrator, the math teacher is found to be a fiend among them and they are traumatized. Many told me they could not sleep. Then a social studies teacher, an English teacher/coach and 2 math teachers are dismissed. And to think you on community TV had the audacity to demean these young vibrant hopeful educators as you inferred it was "their fault" ... "Poor performance" when in reality they did nothing wrong but teach in a fantastic manner... and it was your grading system that brought them down! You owe them an apology. This is not the way to earn respect from your employees.
 Who wants to apply now? Who wants to come to your building and sub? Ironically, the day I was terminated, I was the one to train your new sub . Who wants to move to Claremont when the teachers are so terrified of their jobs that prospective homeowners think, "Why do teachers keep leaving, why are they fired? "
 You know how I have a friend that was recently fired. A teacher of 17 years from the Middle School who has been stripped of all of her rights, who was told without reason, to leave the building, and was not allowed back into her own classroom to pick up her personal belongings. She is later told by her students that they had to watch through the door while this Principal rifled through her desk. I read through the "charges" I see she was late a few times. I see she borrowed a students cell phone for an emergency. I have done the same, as I have witnessed other educators do. I also know this Principal at Middle school forbid two vice-principals to speak with her and although you had been informed of this, you chose to ignore it. What kind of Administrator is this, that you tolerate such behavior, that her own Asst Principal could not be in the presence of the cruelty and mind control of this woman. And he appealed to you.. and nothing was done. He is gone He walked out. I just heard of all of this tonight else I would have been advocating for her before. I really thought it must have been of a serious nature. Staff had warned the both of these people they were being "targeted". And I cannot believe what I read where you wrote about her, that if she is found "on any property in the school district, " meaning any school lawn even, "She will be arrested!" I could not believe my eyes. This would terrify me if written about me. This is bullying at its legal best. And she was left powerless.
 Who wants to take a chance of working in a system that is treating their teachers in this manner? This teacher will not receive benefits, she is three years short of her pension ,and yet all of her evaluations were pristine.and now my final question. Why, when others were offered this, was this teacher, who many of her former students , now at Stevens tell me they loved, and would never forget, why, was she not offered the school improvement plan, to improve what you felt was not up to her usual good performance?
 Someone said to me today, the issue that I am challenged with was the "tipping point" that is bringing things to the boiling point, that facebook is only the decoy for a greater happening to take place.
 You are straining at gnats and swallowing camels on one hand, and on the other hand, cutting positions of vital importance both academically and emotionally for the students. All I hear from the retired teachers when I encounter them, is "Thank God I am out of there".
 And here is where the prayer comes in.
 Those that you are in charge of, are trembling in their boots.
My last day, I entered a room where 8 were sitting. I asked why they were not "fighting the cuts of the four", where was their courage?
And you know what they said Middleton?
"We are broken."
Try walking in one day and LISTEN to what they need.
 The students are so unhappy in that building, the parents are unhappy, the teachers have never been unhappier. They are , truly "broken in Spirit."
 I am gone. I am still in shock of how this went down and feel you all threw me under the bus for a "policy" that is so outdated, so non-productive for the students and staff and is based on non-trust. why are some so afraid of new technology. Facebook is a SOCIAL network, and used properly, which I have, is a wonderful tool to teach character , proper sentence structure, and a place to find help when others are not there for you.
 I am not a rabble rouser here. The issues in the district have hit a critical mass.
 I am a woman who attempts to heal, not harm.
To fix, not break.
 Now, I know you are a man of God. I have seen you pray.
You need to allow God to maintain and sustain His Own Image which may only be discerned in the Silence as inner beings of Light , but having the full right to perform their vocations in peace , and free from intimidation.

Had you invited me to speak that day in the gym, it may have made a difference. They respect me. I would have told them it was not the way I taught them..to choose another way.
I hear you threatened them with suspension. I hope this is a false report.
 Please gift them and allow them their freedom to peacefully release their frustration.that have taken place over this past month. Give them space.
