The Unfair Attack On Dave Agema By The Left and Left Republicans

Dave Agema has come under unfair attacks because of his beliefs on marriage, which are the beliefs that most Christians share.   Read on as I will show you how Dave Agema's critic's are the bigots themselves.
Dave Agema
National Committeeman Michigan

Following are Dave Agema's words, verbatim, regarding homosexual marriage on two occasions in his speech Thursday during the Berrien County Republican Party Holiday Reception:

"I also put a bill in that was, quote unquote, controversial, but it's not. And I brought that up to your 6th District meeting here a while ago. This is the GOP platform nationally. We don't have a platform in the state of Michigan. We should have. We should adopt this. It would stop the bickering and bring us some unity.
"Because on this, it talks about some of the issues that I took a lot of flak for pushing. And one of them is I stand for traditional marriage, not homosexual ones. (audience applause) ... the basic unit of government in society.
"When you tear the family apart, you tear the country apart. I worked with these individuals for almost 30 years with American (Airlines). I know what they do. I know what happened to American Airlines when San Francisco said we could not land in San Francisco and do business with American Airlines unless we paid same sex unmarried benefits.
"The pilots said, 'Bologna. Don't go there anymore.'
"Can't do it. Too big a market. Can't do it. Well, what happened? Say me and, what's your name again, first name? Martha. I'm a flight attendant. You have AIDS. You come to me and say, 'hey, tell them I'm your lover for the last six months.' You get on our health care. American Airlines spends $400,000 before you die of AIDS. And he goes on to the next, and the next, and that's what was happening.

"Folks, they want free medical because they're dying between 38 and 44 years old. It's a biggie. So, to me it's a moral issue. It's a Biblical issue. Traditional marriage is where it should be and that is in our platform, so people that are opposed on that issue within our party are wrong. It's in our platform. (audience applause)"
He then went on to tell the story about how he got the position as a Republican National Committeeman for Michigan.
"We passed a lot of resolutions. When I put the resolution in called Core Values, I took flak within our own party because of the traditional marriage and the homosexual marriage within our party. It's in our book, folks. I not only took flak in Michigan, I took flak throughout the United States. Because they are very organized. I took flak from England. I took flak from Germany. I took flak from the Netherlands.
"I also got a lot of great letters. Telling me to stand, Dave, just stand. OK, I will. I've been working with these people for 30 years. I understand. I will not fold on that issue. So, I went back to my meeting and I got this resolution passed 100 percent through committee and 100 percent through all 168 members."

So Dave Agema is being criticized for his Christian views on marriage? What happened to our Constitutional First Amendment right here in America regarding Freedom of Speech and Freedom of  Religion?  By attacking Dave Agema, are not his and our religious rights being attacked?

For further insight here is what the Bible says on homosexuality / gay marriage:

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin  (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:2220:13Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God.
1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.
God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for him to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true with homosexuality.
However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).
There are many Christians on both the Republican and Democrat side that have these beliefs.  There was nothing bigoted in what Dave Agema said.  He spoke from personal experience and from his religious beliefs.

By these vicious attacks from the left and from Leftist Establishment Republican's aren't they being bigots themselves?  One newspaper columnist went so far as to call those with religious beliefs in the Republican party Neanderthals. (see the Macomb Daily article Politicaly Speaking by Chad Selweski 12-10-13)  Mr. Selweski's comments are nothing but a bigoted  in themselves.

Here are some lessons to take from this who political drama:

Mr. Agema was on to something with his statements, the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual,, Transvestite) community is one of the biggest donors in politics.  They have traditionally given to the Democrats and the Republican Party is changing its stance to tap into not only that vote but their money.

Although there is a scam that many are pulling to get medical benefits that is not the whole reason why Obamacare was passed.  The real reason that Obamacare has been passed is to take care of the illegal immigrants that will become legal once amnesty has been passed.  Right now many illegals avoid the hospital when ill as they avoid medical care in fear of being deported.  Once they no longer have that fear when amnesty is passed they will flood the hospital ER rooms draining hospital resources.  Obamacare was put in place to cover the ER costs.  Get it, Obamacare was put into place so that more people would pay into the system to cover those with out insurance.  The Congressional Budget Office has even admitted that 30 million will remain uninsured.

These vicious attacks on Dave Agema are nothing more than to silence a voice of someone in position of power that has the power to slowdown the leftist unconstitutional agenda of those in the Democrat and Republican Parties.

A petition has been created to send a message to the Michigan Republican Party that Dave Agema is supported and to censure him for enforcing the Republican platform is wrong! You can sign the petition here.

  2. If Dave Agema is like the article describes him and I bet he is, I wouldn't want him for a neighbor much less a political leader. If Republicans want to continue to lose power, they should follow people like him.
